ABOUT MARJORIE NGWENYA DA SILVA

My book \'Empowered Evolution\' is a must read for anyone wishing to access a simple framework for how to achieve success by cultivating the right mindset, discovering profound meaning in your life, and propelling yourself into dynamic action.I am a senior leader in the financial services and non-profit sectors. I have an MSc in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School. My journey has not been without its obstacles. Having left university prior to completing my undergraduate degree at the London School of Economics, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to qualify as an actuary while working. I spent almost twenty years in executive roles before becoming a speaker, freelance consultant and board member. I currently serve as an external member on the Bank of England\'s Prudential Regulation Committee; a statutory committee.I have been an active volunteer within the actuarial profession and I am a Past President of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), headquartered in the UK. I was elected by the IFoA Council to become the first president to be based outside the UK. I am proud to have served as the youngest president in the organisation’s almost two-century history, the third female and the first person of colour. I have spoken extensively on the topic of diversity and I am an inclusive leadership researcher/writer. In the boardroom, I have worked with executive teams to shift the dial and develop cultures and practices of inclusivity.
