Award/winning educator and author with expertise in museum professional training, museum education & non-profit strategic planning, and 40+ years of experience leading innovative inter generational museum initiatives nationally and internationally. My book Riches, Rivals and Radicals: One Hundred Years of Museums in America (AAM, 2006; 3rd edition, 2020) was the basis for an award-winning PBS documentary. I have published 50+ articles and reviews in museum publications and journals, including Museums and Social Issues, Museum News, ASTC Dimensions, and Curator, etc, and given numerous keynote and/or public lectures at museums, universities and national & international conferences, including Shanghai, Osaka, Berlin, Abu Dhabi and Singapore.
