About Marjan Sharifi
I am an interdisciplinary cognitive scientists working across psychology, neuroscience, the arts and AI alignment research. I examine how creative thinking is closely interlinked with mind-wandering. I explore how AI systems can expand our frameworks into our own cognitive processes (i.e, ToM, creativity, meta-cognition). One of the main areas of my current research interests is how we can ensure AI development supports human flourishing at the process level of thought, the exploration phase of idea generation.
