About Mariya Tirkey

I am Mariya Tirkey, a Communication and leading specialist and Gandhi Fellow (Batch- 16) with the Piramal Foundation. With an academic background in B.A. in History from the University of Ranchi, Jharkhand, I bring a strong understanding of social systems, governance, and grassroots realities, which helps me design meaningful and people-centric communication. For social development. As a Gandhi Fellow working in rural Madhya Pradesh, I collaborate with departments such as Health, ICDS, Education, and Panchayati Raj to support coordination and improve public service delivery. My work includes facilitating block and district-level meetings, conducting workshops and trainings, and analyzing data from platforms like VHSNC and VHSND.I work closely with frontline workers, SHGs, Panchayats, and community leaders to design solutions that are inclusive and locally relevant. I believe in the power of collaboration and convergence to create sustainable impact.I am currently exploring roles in health communication, program coordination, and development fields where I can use my experience in fieldwork, and systems thinking to support meaningful and impactful initiatives.Feel free to connect with me if you work in health, education, sustainability, or community-led development.
