Covenant Ministries of Benevolence (CMB) is the health and human services arm of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the parent holding company of a national retirement organization, Chicago-based, safety-net hospital, and several ministries nation-wide for children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Significant job responsibilities include:Administration: Accountable for overall administrative direction and management of corporate CMB offices. Work closely with affiliate executive teams and executive support professionals to enhance lines of communication and promote strong partnerships between entities.Governance:Serve as governance manager for board of directors (liaison for board members), prepares board materials with CEO and board chair, ensuring agendas and board meetings follow bylaws. Work with affiliate legal counsel to ensure appropriate actions are brought to parent board for approval when needed. Lead on board portal database - train affiliate governance professionals for use with their boards.Executive Benefits:Administer executive benefit program for CMB staff and executives from affiliates. Regularly work with inside and outside counsel to maintain compliance within programs/IRS regulations.Fundraising:Partner with affiliate advancement teams to support fundraising endeavors and special projects as needed.
