Hi there, I’m Marissa — welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I joined Florida Theatrical Association in June 2021 as the Marketing Manager for Broadway in Orlando, Broadway in Miami and Broadway in Fort Lauderdale. Currently I am based in Orlando, but was born and raised in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, so I feel a strong connection to the markets I get to work with every day. Previously, I worked at the University of Florida (go gators!) in Gainesville as member of the College of the Arts’ Strategic Communications team, Harn Museum of Art’s Marketing + Public Relations and Curatorial teams, and Center for Undergraduate Research team. During my master’s program in mass communications, I served as the teaching assistant for Miles Wilkin’s Broadway and Beyond course at the University of Florida and completed an internship with Broadway Across America’s Fort Lauderdale office. As someone who was not exposed to theater until high school, I am passionate about engaging new, more diverse audiences through strategic marketing efforts and partnerships. When I’m not working, you can find me cooking vegetarian-friendly meals, crossing off Florida state parks, or binge-watching the Law & Order re-runs on YouTube TV.
