About Marissa Martinez

I\'ve been doing some type of job associated with creating software my entire career. I started as a developer, then moved into testing and test management, then moved over to program/product management. Throughout, I had increasing levels of management responsibilities, managing small then large teams, then multiple functions. I\'ve worked in nine different industry verticals, shipping many v1.0 and several mature products. More recently, I\'ve worked on web-based applications and solutions and in the SMB industry, helping customers solve their business and technology pain points. I\'ve gotten more involved in the Drupal community, having done presentations at regional Drupal camps. Throughout my career, I\'ve collected experience in the typical array of acronym soup, but the ones I draw on most include PM (Product Management), SaaS (Software as a Service/Platforms/Shared Services), product design, and teaching. I have been an early employee at a number of startups, a co-founder of three companies, and worked for a number of years at Microsoft, including being a group program manager during the early days of MSN. I now apply those years of experience as a Talent Risk Management Consultant and CTO of the Steve Trautman Co, helping technology teams at Fortune 500 companies assess, align, and mitigate risk using a data-driven approach to identify gaps between the available technical capacity and the expertise needed to successfully support the business strategy. I also drive development of our data analysis tools.
