About Marissa Sterling
Hi, I’m Marissa. I joined Burnt Island Ventures as employee #2 straight out of law school. Before that, I studied international economic law and worked with water entrepreneurs across the Middle East. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to be on the ground floor as we build the first specialist venture firm in water. My role touches many of the systems that help the firm grow, including LP and impact reporting, portfolio support, community, communications, and fundraising support. Since joining the team, we’ve invested $50M+ in 30+ water companies globally.
