About Marissa Posner
My name is Marissa Posner, and I am a student at the University of Kansas pursuing a double major in Accounting and Finance. I’m passionate about building a strong foundation in business while developing leadership, collaboration, and communication skills through involvement on campus.I currently serve as the Vice President of Finance for Delta Gamma- Beta Kappa Chapter, where I manage chapter finances, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure accountability and transparency. As the Employer Affairs Assistant for the Women’s Business Club this fall semester, I helped strengthen connections between students and professionals by coordinating guest speakers and networking opportunities. I’m also a brother of Delta Sigma Pi- Iota Chapter, where I continue to grow as a business leader through professional development and service.Outside of my campus roles, my past experiences as a camp counselor and after-school care employee have taught me the importance of adaptability, organization, and teamwork. These roles helped me develop confidence in leading others, managing time effectively, and approaching challenges with a problem-solving mindset.I’m excited to continue exploring opportunities in the accounting and finance industries, connecting with professionals, and expanding my knowledge through hands-on experience.
