Two Founders. 1 Mission. A Profession Transformed. It was built by 2 pharmacists who saw the same problem from two different sides —and decided to build the solution together.Ashley saw the need & built marketing and sales bridges to educate systemically and break down barriers.Marissa wanted more from her career than what she was stuck doing working for everyone else. She dreamed of her own unique practices & built the systems for Pharmacists to follow behind her. PCPI has become the national pathway for pharmacists ready to step into clinical practice in the outpatient setting Shared Mission: A New Era for Pharmacist-Led CarePCPI exists to make one thing possible:Pharmacists practicing at the top of their license — in primary care, specialty care, & community healthcare inside of independent pharmacies — w/ a legal & operational pathway that actually makes sense.🤝 When Their Work Aligns — PCPI Took ShapeAshley’s insight into the ambulatory clinical gaps through MTM & insurance reviews + Marissa’s U.S. health system pharmacy knowledge at 13+ hospitals, specialty ambulatory practices, transitions of care gaps insight, & operational architecture for how to fill those gaps = the foundation of PCPI.PCPI became the 1st program to combine: • visionary business training • legal structure • billing literacy • regulatory compliance • workflow & IT operations • clinical documentation • outreach and marketing/sales modelsPCPI was built where their strengths met: Ashley: the motivator, educator, finisher, and bridge-builder Marissa: the systems engineer, clinical master, pharmacy practice business legal strategist, & operations architectTogether, they’ve created a national movement.Evidence of what it looks like when 2 people share values at a deep level & have the integrity & perseverance to do what\'s not been done before.Pharmacists go from “I want to practice clinically” to “I have a viable, legal, billable clinical practice.”

ABOUT MARISSA BLUMENTHAL

Former D1 Swimmer, Swim Coach, and a Pharmacist who thinks like a systems architect — blending clinical insight, operational design, regulatory strategy, & population-level problem solving to build what pharmacy & healthcare are missing. My work is about making sure clinical pharmacists can practice independently without losing the protections health systems quietly provide. With over a decade of ambulatory, acute care, specialty, telepharmacy, & population health experience across multiple health systems, I’ve seen most points of failure inside U.S. healthcare… & I’ve chosen to build the solutions instead of tolerate the problems.Today, I serve as the Co-Founder & COO/CPO of Prosper Rx Consulting & Co-Founder of the Primary Care Pharmacy Institute (PCPI), subsequently creating Prosper Rx Practice Management (PRxPM) — 3 national initiatives designed to do what the system has never done:Create a legitimate, compliant, scalable pathway for pharmacists to practice at the top of their license in primary care, community settings, & specialty clinics. My work focuses on:• Architecting pharmacist-led ambulatory care models• Designing workflows, documentation systems, & compliance structures• Establishing the operational backbone for pharmacist integration• Aligning clinical practice w/ state/federal regulations• Building business models that produce sustainable pharmacist careers• Supporting population health initiatives, medication safety, & care continuity• Mentoring pharmacists into confident, systems-thinking leadersI approach healthcare through the lens of a national ambulatory pharmacy director:Seeing patterns, eliminating structural barriers, & designing clinical pathways that work in the real world, not just on paper. In parallel, I founded an Athlete Healthcare Company, the first single-sport, closed-loop athlete healthcare system in the U.S. My purpose is simple:Create the jobs that don’t exist yet…but absolutely shouldAfter 9 roles in 8 yrs across most pharmacy services, I understand more than ever.Pharmacists deserve safe jobs, strategic roles, & strong leadership.Patients deserve better care models than the fragmented system they’re trapped in.Healthcare deserves leaders who are willing to build instead of complain. If you are someone who sees the cracks in the system — & you’re ready to help redesign the foundation — my door is open. I collaborate with U.S. & international clinicians, operators, digital health teams, & healthcare innovators working toward the same mission!
