As Chief Financial Officer of the only provider of 0 – 30% AMI Affordable Housing in the Alexandria area, I oversee the financial activities of an annual budget of $54M serving 5,880 households; a team of 9 employees; a diverse housing portfolio of 1,140 apartments which includes low rent public housing, market rate, mod-rehab units, and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) units; and the administration of 1,620 Housing Choice Vouchers. Under my leadership, notable accomplishments include: to restructure and reposition ARHA’s staff to prepare the agency to transition away from an ACC regulatory environment resulting in the reorganization of the agency’s Asset Management Division. of ARHA’s Finance, Procurement and Information Technology Departments which led to the reduction of workflow inefficiencies and the re-engineering of current systems. to accomplish key strategic goals by facilitating the resyndication of Chatham Square, the transformation of three ARHA public housing properties thru HUD’s RAD repositioning process and securing a critical Line of Credit that will allow ARHA to expand its portfolio of affordable housing units. ’ by identifying additional funding sources thru revitalizing the agency’s Revenue Bond Program which allows the agency to promote and administer bond financing opportunities. Asset Management Software and worked with the Implementation Team to ensure that ARHA employees are trained to maximize the agency’s operational, property management and financial performance.
