In this role, I oversee PIC’s global strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. I am charged with building the communications function and go-to market strategy from the ground-up to successfully commercialize one of the first gene-edited proteins in the food supply. Notable achievements- Oversaw communications, media, issues and reputation throughout FDA approval process for the first gene-edited livestock to enter the food supply on a commercial scale - successfully garnering positive media coverage. Post-approval, continuously developed process and materials to promote an FDA-regulated product. Genus is the world’s leading animal genetics and biotechnology company, operating in 75 countries. PIC is Genus’ porcine division and is currently working to introduce new gene editing technology to increase sustainability and animal welfare. Genus is publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange.
