ABOUT MARISA ZUMWALT

Marisa is Founder + CEO of Propaganda Design Studio, a full-service creative agency dedicated to producing statewide campaigns that improve lives, strengthen communities, and drive meaningful impact.Since 2016, Propaganda has helped millions of Californians prepare for emergencies, seek mental health support, and access treatment for substance use disorder through trusted partnerships with organizations such as the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), California Department of Public Heath (CDPH), and Sacramento County, to name a few.Beyond public sector work, Propaganda collaborates with businesses and organizations across healthcare, manufacturing, technology, professional services, hospitality, and retail – helping them reach target audiences, increase visibility, and accelerate growth.Before founding Propaganda, Marisa served as Account Director at Wallrich Creative Communications where she led branding and advertising campaigns for prominent clients including Western Health Advantage, Dignity Health, Cares Community Health, SMUD, and River City Bank.Prior to that, Marisa honed her strategic communication and relationship-building skills as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), working with specialists across Neurology, Pulmonary, Obstetrics, and Dermatology to promote her product line of Imitrex, Advair, Valtrex, and Altabax.Marisa graduated Magna Cum Lade from University of San Diego with a BA in Psychology and minor in Business Administration. Marisa is a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa and Gamma Phi Beta, as well as a National Collegiate Scholar.Marisa is passionate about harnessing strategy and creativity to develop campaigns that make a lasting difference.
