A news junkie at heart, my passions include elevating non profit organizations, higher education communications, connecting people and education equity.The first 10 years of my professional career began as a newspaper reporter writing about everything from small city and town politics and education to various Latino communities. After journalism, I began working in higher education and have worked at UCLA, Hunter College and Hostos Community College where I publicized research, helped with crisis communications, pitched stories to reporters, wrote for internal and external publications, speeches and talking points.In addition, I taught an undergraduate journalism class and helped manage a Fulbright program at the University of Maryland.From 20••••24, I was a writer in the marketing/communications department for CUNY SPS and the Office of Innovative Learning Solutions (ILS).I am currently a press officer/writer at Hispanic Federation.
