ABOUT MARISA BATE
I\'m a journalist with print and online experience, covering issues that impact women including sexism in the media, domestic violence, politics, current affairs and pop culture. I also have experience writing and carrying out research for leading London trends intelligence agency, The Future Laboratory. I have written for the Guardian, the Observer, The i Paper, The Independent, Red magazine, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, PORTER and Marie Claire. I was the first full time staff member of The Pool, where I was senior editor before going freelance in October 2017. I have given comment on BBC Radio 4\'s The World Tonight and BBC Radio Scotland\'s Good Morning Scotland. I have appeared at Cheltenham Literature Festival and Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts. I was also a judge on the inaugural Words by Women awards and the inaugural End Violence Against Women media awards. In January 2017, I was a guest on Late Night Woman’s Hour with Lauren Laverne. On International Women\'s Day 2018, I published my first book The Periodic Table of Feminism with Ebury.
