Welcome to my profile! I\'m Maris Canthea Teodoro, a current junior at Virginia Commonwealth University\'s Honors College. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology and am driven by a profound passion for helping others, providing professional and quality care, and promoting overall wellbeing. Outside of the academic realm, I currently serve as Vice President and Co-Founder for AAPI-HOPE (Health Outreach plus Education) at VCU, a new club that aims to support AAPI and other minority students in the healthcare field. I have also served as Cultural Liaison for FACT (Filipino Americans Coming Together) at VCU during the 20••••25 academic year. In the Fall 2024 semester, I served as a Human Anatomy Preceptor for the VCU Biology Department, working alongside an outstanding team of my fellow peers and professors. Furthermore, I currently work as a Patient Transporter at VCU Health, which allows me to become familiar with working in the hospital setting, working with patients and other healthcare professionals, and operating hospital equipment. Staying involved in the community fulfills my passion for helping others, creating connections with my peers, and my personal interests. 🩺 As a future RN, my ultimate goal is to be a source of comfort and motivation for my patients, uplifting and supporting them during their time in my care. I aim to be their biggest advocate and hope to make a positive impact in their lives, no matter how big or small. This goal is why I am currently striving to become the best nurse that I can be.
