Manage the operations of the IT Division of the South Carolina Secretary of State- Direct, oversee and implement the development, design and operation of all agency data processing and telecommunications systems- Ensure that projects are prioritized and implemented based on the mission of the Office- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, solutions, policies, procedures, and operations of IT systems- Work closely with division directors and Deputy Secretary to understand their needs and provide technology solutions to meet the needs of internal and external users- Work with vendors to troubleshoot installation and implementation issues- Work with division directors and deputy secretary to ensure timely and successful completion of projects- Serve as the agency contact/coordinator for information technology contracts and projects as well as agency projects- Work with third party vendors to implement and upgrade to new technology solutions- Oversee the development and maintenance of IT security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans- Oversee agency-wide IT policies and protocols- Guide the IT budgeting process by understanding the Office\'s needs and sets long-term and short-term priorities and goals for the IT division- Continually evaluate trends, products, and services and recommend updates and/or purchases to ensure the Office is fully utilizing its technology resources- Maintain support contracts for all related systems- Provide supervision, annual evaluations and professional guidance for IT personnel- Establish and maintain working relationships with users, management, vendors, and others.
