As Executive Director and Co-Founder of Teach My Kid to Read, I lead a nonprofit that is transforming how communities support literacy—starting with our libraries. What began as a personal journey as the parent of a struggling reader has grown into a national movement to ensure that all children have access to the tools they need to learn to read.Under my leadership, Teach My Kid to Read became the first nonprofit to bring evidence-based, community-centered literacy programming to public and school libraries. We\'ve built partnerships in over 40 states and 2 Canadian provinces, trained librarians, distributed thousands of decodable books, and launched the Literacy @Your Library online community to provide 24/7 support to librarians, educators, and caregivers.I believe that libraries are one of the most overlooked resources in addressing our nation\'s literacy crisis—and I’m proud to help lead the charge in bridging that gap.
