About Mario H.

Mario graduated from Stony Brook University with double majors in Information Systems and Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and double minors in Business and Electrical Engineering. Mario has a deep appreciation for his parents providing him with early access to technology, which led him to develop a passion for learning more about tech. It is with this passion that he pursued a career in IT.While at Stony Brook University, Mario designed databases, created a computer application that displays school events and developed a blackjack game using Java. He worked at the Student Activities Center, starting as an Operations Assistant where he received two promotions to become the first Undergraduate Facilities Manager. In this position, he managed a team of three Lead Operations Assistants and twelve Operations Assistants by fostering a collaborative working environment. After graduating, Mario became an IT Consultant at FDM Group and was hired as a contractor at Bank of America as an IT Security Specialist II. In this role Mario worked on a file share remediation project where he provided second level help desk support for issues related to a global file share remediation program. Afterwards, Mario was hired as a contractor at Shake Shack as a Project Manager in the IT Department for two and a half years. In this role Mario completed projects related to IT infrastructure and IT security. Afterwards, Mario was hired on contract as a Project Manager at AppDynamics, a part of Cisco. In this role Mario completed customer projects related to Application Performance Monitoring and deploying the AppDynamics tool to the customer environment. Currently, Mario is an IT Project Manager at Erie Insurance Group.Mario earned his Project Management Professional certification, Certified ScrumMaster certification and has also earned a certificate in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals(AZ-900).
