   Manage a team responsible for generation interconnection and transmission service processes for connecting new renewable energy generation plants to the electric transmission system in their individual regions across the US and Canada, including SPP, PJM, MISO, ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, AESO and CAISO, as well as non-RTO providers-Oversee BD Transmission department’s efforts to coordinate with portfolio siting team to identify optimal locations and strategic opportunities for new generators to interconnect to the North American transmission grid and deliver energy to off-takers-Interpret and apply transmission tariffs, electric market rules, and grid interconnection requirements to generation development activities. Develop strategic approaches to minimize financial risk while maintaining project schedules, minimizing transmission costs, and maturing projects in generation interconnection queues-Lead negotiations for interconnection agreements with RTOs and utilities. Review transmission related issues in other legal contracts, including but not limited to Power Purchase Agreements and project sale and acquisition agreements-Maintain close coordination with Regulatory Affairs, Engineering & Construction (E&C) and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) teams to ensure interconnection agreements are accurately implemented and followed.
