ABOUT MARIO REDLINGHYS

I have 20 years of experience working with all sizes of companies both locally to SA and internationally. In addition, I have experience in business advisory consulting, internal, forensic and external auditing as well as IT auditing. This included SOX channel 1 and channel 2 assignments. During my 20 years, I worked 7 years for a big four audit firm, PwC in South Africa as well as the USA. I became an expert in IT application controls review of SAP, Oracle and Sage during this time. Thus establishing a strong risk and controls background. During my years at PwC, I worked with several industries, namely Automotive, FMCG, Agriculture and Medical and Pharmaceutical. I also have had the privilege of working as a group financial manager for just under 3 years. This was an interesting time, learning the skill of maximizing shareholder value through optimizing resources and capability drivers of the respective business model. Entrepreneurial skills and leadership were also established and enhanced during this time. I successfully facilitated several software implementations as group FM. I have established business development skills having founded and managed my own business over the last 10 years. Thus solidifying my entrepreneurial skills. Innovation and solution-focused skills are my strengths. During this time, I have worked with a small company in South Africa for which I successfully facilitated the restructuring of the group. Moreover, I facilitated the development and execution of the corporate and operational strategy which saw the company increase its staff from 6 to 150 in 5 years. Further to this, the group increased its revenue from R6million to R200 million in 10 years. I currently have a keen interest in Environmental Social Governance (ESG) as I believe this is the future of business sustainability.
