Amesbury, MA, US

Directed team of high-performing sales engineers through specification review, system design, pricing strategy, and proposal development for major food, pharma, plastics, & auto battery projects. Partnered with external sales organization to deliver proposals, technical data, & customer-focused engineering solutions. Supported product innovation through collaborating with teams on product development initiatives. Coordinated with engineering, scheduling, and production to maximize plant capacity while meeting customer requirements. Key Contributions: Designed and executed a talent development pipeline for Applications Engineering, hiring directly from universities and industry, establishing peer-based second-round interviews, and training engineers on desiccant technology, sales engineering, and product configuration, building an 8-person team that consistently fed talent into Sales Management, Production Engineering, and R&D. Developed 1st structured matrix of approved product offerings to clearly define RFQ’s, configuration, & delivery. Established policies, procedures, & best practices that drove continuous improvement across Sales Engineering function. Designed and implemented new tools, workflows, and proposal standards, since the Applications group had not historically owned large-scale proposal generation. Supported EV battery market growth & the impact on Applications Engineering team, where bid packages regularly exceeded $40M+, nearly 10x larger than standard quotations. Identified inefficiencies in the Service group’s Retrofit Equipment (RFE) sales process, where undefined product structures created quoting inconsistencies and redirected problem-solving to the Applications team. Created a process that enabled Service Sales to be self-sufficient, and by year two, approximately 75% of RFEs utilized standardized configurable product offerings, significantly reducing engineering time and improving operational efficiency.
