About Mario Kratz
I am the founder and director of Nourished by Science LLC, an organization that provides comprehensive, unbiased, and evidence-based information about nutrition as it relates to the prevention of chronic disease.I hold MS and PhD degrees in Nutritional Science, and have more than 25 years of experience in clinical nutrition research. In my most recent academic position, which I held until June of 2021, I led a research group conducting clinical intervention trials on the relationship between nutrition, obesity, and cardiometabolic disease at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA, U.S.A. Concurrently, I was also a faculty member at the University of Washington, in the Departments of Epidemiology and Medicine as well as the Nutritional Sciences Program, also through June of 2021.
