About Marina Carey
Hi! I’m Marina Carey, and I’m passionate about building startups from the inside out. Whether it’s through creative strategies, talent connections, or entrepreneurial innovation, I love helping startups succeed. I have a degree in Media and Culture with a co-major in Entrepreneurship from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business, ranked #7 worldwide for entrepreneurship programs. My education focused on media, creativity, innovation, and startup ecosystems, which have shaped my career in the world of startups. At Alloy Development Co, an entrepreneurial support organization, I worked in their Growth Lab Incubator and helped 15+ startups define their brand strategies, from award-winning innovation events to hands-on creative development. At Yellow Weld, a welding startup, I led a digital outreach strategy that increased revenue by in one year. Now, at Rev1 Ventures, I’m proud to support startups by connecting them with top talent and overseeing the internship program, connecting 100+ interns with startups each year. I also make it a priority to do cool things outside of work. When I’m not talking to college students or reviewing pitch decks, you can find me hanging upside down in aerial silk classes at the Cincinnati Circus or attending concerts all over the Midwest. I\'ve lived in Peru for a month on my own, gone to 30+ concerts in 2 years, and am always finding new places to take a weekend trip to. Did I mention my dog, Osa, yet?
