As Vice Chair of the Board of Governors, I provide strategic leadership and governance oversight to support inclusive, high-quality education for all pupils. I work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, Chair and fellow governors to ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities, particularly around safeguarding, SEND provision, and accessibility.Key contributions:Chairing committees focused on safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.Supporting the development of inclusive policies and practices aligned with national education standards.Acting as a critical friend to school leadership, offering challenge and support in equal measure.Advocating for accessibility and equitable learning environments, drawing on my professional expertise in inclusive travel and design.This role complements my professional commitment to accessibility by allowing me to champion inclusive practices from the earliest stages of education.
