ABOUT MARINA PODLUBNAYA

Marina is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that graduated with a Masters Degree in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. She started her educational career by earning a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA. She has always been fascinated with the interaction between genetics, epigenetics, environment and mental health. Inspired by her interactions with nursing staff when one of her family members was in the hospital, she decided to pursue a career in nursing. After which, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from UC Irvine before pursuing her dream of working in psychiatry.Marina’s lifelong dream is to see the stigma related to mental health disappear. She hopes for all people to be free of shame and guilt when talking about their struggles with mental health illnesses. In addition to treating a variety of disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, ADHD, and Eating Disorders she also strives to create a strong therapeutic relationship in order to provide the best quality of care. Her passions include working with clients with dual diagnoses and helping support them through their journey of recovery from substance abuse and/or opiate dependence. Marina is enthusiastic to apply her experience and compassion with clients as they begin to address their issues that will help them improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.She is an active member of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Psychological Nursing Association. In her free time, she loves to go hiking, traveling, Pilates, going to sporting events, and playing with her dog.
