As a Cybersecurity Analyst, I support the protection of organizational systems by identifying vulnerabilities, investigating threats, and improving overall security posture. My role includes:Conducting over 250 authenticated and unauthenticated scans using Qualys, identifying misconfigurations and outdated software for remediation.Investigating phishing emails and suspicious activity, preventing breaches and educating users through threat awareness reports.Monitoring system and network activity with Splunk SIEM, creating custom alerts and dashboards for real-time threat detection across 100+ endpoints.Managing over digital assets using Lansweeper, maintaining an up-to-date inventory and integrating asset data into vulnerability scans.Assisting in sandbox deployment to safely test and analyze suspicious files, supporting secure malware analysis and reporting.Supporting access control and authentication using Active Directory and multi-factor authentication (MFA).Participating in security audits and ensuring compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.Hands-on Projects:Phishing Incident Response: Investigated simulated phishing campaigns, identified malicious payloads, and developed end-user awareness reports.Asset Discovery and Classification: Used Lansweeper to create a full asset inventory, categorized systems by risk level, and integrated data into vulnerability scans.Vulnerability Scanning Lab: Executed authenticated and unauthenticated scans with Qualys, prioritized findings, and worked with IT teams for remediation.SIEM Alert Tuning: Configured Splunk alerts and dashboards for detecting brute-force attacks, abnormal login behavior, and unauthorized access attempts.Sandbox Malware Analysis: Deployed a secure sandbox to examine file behavior, enabling safe detection and reporting of potentially harmful executables.
