ABOUT MARINA GEARHART
I am an outpatient therapist with Flourish Therapy Center. I work primarily with adults 18+ struggling eating disorders, trauma, and other combos diagnoses. My treatment approach combines my specialization in dance/movement therapy, CBT, and EMDR. Previously I was the Lead Therapist at Monte Nido Laurel Hill, residential eating disorder facility. Outpatient or higher level of care, I thoroughly enjoy being witness to clients making beautiful transformations in recovery and engaging with their lives again fully. Prior to Monte Nido, I worked at the Eating Disorder Center of Boston and McLean Hospital\'s Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder-Institute. While in graduate school, I worked full time as Program/Research Coordinator at Boston Children\'s Hospital (BCH) for the Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder Program. Prior to this role, I was a Clinical Research Assistant II in the Sports Medicine Department. In each role I have held, I have worked to combine my interests in movement and mental health. I am passionate about finding ways that dives deeper into understanding the etiology of body image, the various manifestations of trauma in the body and exploring eating disorders through a clinical and research lens.
