BEMCo is in service through most of the academic year (excluding long breaks) 24/7, with standard crew shifts being 24 hours. As a volunteer with BEMCo, I respond to on campus health emergencies. As a \"secondary\", I manage documentation during the active call, take vital signs and assist more experienced EMTs. In addition to volunteering, I sometimes take paid shifts for special events on campus.
