ABOUT MARINA BERNHARD
I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, focusing on Computer Forensics, at DeVry University. I am driven by a deep passion for protecting systems and solving complex security challenges.I bring over 11 years of experience in leadership roles within the healthcare and manufacturing industries, where I’ve built a reputation for integrity, resilience, empathy, and uplifting teams to achieve shared goals. I excel at coordinating people and processes while maintaining a strong commitment to doing the right thing, even when it’s challenging!Now pivoting into cybersecurity, I’m especially passionate about red teaming and digital forensics. I enjoy working in Linux, Python, and on hands-on IoT projects that fuel my curiosity and problem-solving mindset. I am an active member of DeVry\'s Cyber Club, DVU NCL Teams, and DVU Cyber Range, where we lead in online CTF competitions and learn from real-world scenarios and platforms. I currently hold an Information Technology Essentials certification and an Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity and Networking, and I’m actively preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification. Beyond school, I’m committed to building real-world skills through labs and CTFs with NCL, Hack The Box, DoD competitions, WiCyS, and US Cyber Games.Known for my strong work ethic, personal integrity, love of learning, and dedication to helping people, I’m excited to contribute to organizations focused on protecting digital environments and putting people first.
