ABOUT MARINA BENJAMIN
Marina Benjamin has written six books, including the internationally acclaimed midlife trilogy: The Middlepause (2016), Insomnia (2018), and A Little Give (2023), translated into nine languages and lauded for their powerful explorations of women\'s real lives. Last Days in Babylon was longlisted for the Wingate Prize, and Rocket Dreams was shortlisted for the Eugene Emme Award, establishing her as a versatile voice across memoir, cultural history, and social commentary.Currently Senior Editor at Aeon magazine, Marina previously served as Arts Editor at the New Statesman and Deputy Arts Editor at the London Evening Standard. She\'s edited several essay collections including the lockdown anthology, Garden Among Fires. Her personal essays appear in Granta, Aeon, the TLS and the Paris Review.As a co-founder of True North collective, she mentors PhD students and academics in narrative writing. She regularly teaches life writing at Arvon, has led courses for Granta Writers Workshop and Faber Academy. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. She is currently working on her debut novel.
