In charge of directing & recruiting coalition members & having monthly meetings to raise public & community awareness, & coordinate after-school programs, campaigns, outreach & prevention of underage drinking, smoking & drug usage. Networking & capacity building in the Miami Beach area by establishing and strengthening collaboration among communities, private non-profit agencies & governmental entities from South Beach to the City of North Miami Beach to support the efforts of the coalition to prevent & reduce tobacco, alcohol, & other illegal drug use among youth & , over time, among adults by decreasing risk factors & increasing protective factors & resiliency in the youth who reside on & frequent Miami Beach; & increase the age of onset of & /or reduce the use of tobacco, alcohol, & “club” & prescription drugs among first time juvenile offenders. Perform public relations, marketing, social media, community mobilization, & assist in grant writing to receive more funding.
