About Marilyn Meyer

Practicing psychotherapy as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1997, including 16 years providing mental health services in LA County child welfare agencies, working with severely traumatized children and families. My work integrates Jungian, Somatic, and relational orientations with creative process, mythology, literature, Eastern spirituality and philosophy, humor and compassion. I currently serve as Adjunct Faculty for two graduate degree programs, and provide clinical supervision. Goals: to refine and add to my therapeutic skill set in private practice; provide strong clinical supervision, training, education, and self-care support to new and experienced therapists; expand my writing to include reflections on the path of the healer in today\'s society; facilitate groups and workshops to assist helping professionals explore and integrate greater self-care into their lives; maintain a life-work balance that sustains well-being and promotes joy.
