   As a teenager, I thought I had parenting all figured out. Babysitting a wide variety of kids and watching my sister raise her two boys made me feel confident that I knew exactly what it took to be a great parent. Then, I had my first child.Suddenly, all the “experience” I thought I had went out the window. I found myself questioning everything—especially my son’s behavior. Why wasn’t he acting the way I expected? What was I doing wrong? I reached out to other moms for reassurance, and to my surprise, I wasn’t alone.At the same time, I was juggling a full-time career, climbing the management ladder, and raising three children. Managing the endless to-do lists, coordinating schedules, and being everything for everyone was overwhelming. But through it all, one thing remained clear: I wanted to be more than just a “good” parent. I wanted to be present, nurturing, and truly connected with each of my children, giving them the love and support they needed to thrive.But there was one thing I hadn’t accounted for—me. I felt guilty every time I craved a moment of rest, every time I longed for “me” time.
