About Marilyn Kail

Marilyn has more than 40 years experience in a variety of marketing venues, including advertising, public relations, higher ed, healthcare and non-profit marketing, as well as freelance consulting & writing. As Vice President/Director of PR at MARC USA, a national full service agency, she led project teams which developed integrated marketing solutions for clients, including: True Value Hardware, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Mohawk Industries, Bryant Heating and Cooling, national PTA, national Make-A-Wish Foundation and national March of Dimes, among others. At Carnegie Mellon, Marilyn led the development and execution of the university’s brand strategy, overseeing advertising, multimedia, web and print communications. She led more than 30 professionals in Development Communications, Web Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Executive Communications, Internal Communications, Admission Marketing and Audience Research. Marilyn graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a specialty in advertising/ public relations. She holds a Masters from the Pennsylvania State University in health education and promotion. She served on the boards of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA/Pittsburgh), the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the AMA National Health Academy. She currently serves as President of the Whitehall Public Library Board, and also is a member of the Board of Theatre [Untitled]and Actor\'s Professional Theatre Conservatory in Harlem, NY. Marilyn presented seminars on PR and marketing at conferences such as: the national American Public Health Association conference, Legal Marketers Boot Camp, Rite Aid & True Value retailers’ national trade shows & the national March of Dimes conference and at national AMA-Higher Ed conventions. Marilyn taught marketing/PR courses three universities. Specialties: PR, Marketing Communications, Cause Marketing, Content Development and Coordination, Team building, writing for web and print.
