ABOUT MARIKO HARPER
As the founding Regional Medical Director for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Center of Excellence at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, I lead comprehensive HCM care across three tertiary cardiac hospitals in Washington and virtual services in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Our program provides advanced HCM diagnostics, high-volume septal reduction surgeries, and access to clinical trials. I also contribute as the Physician Lead for the VMFH TeleHealth Program, facilitating innovative digital health platforms. I am a Core Faculty member for the VMFH Cardiology Fellowship, chairing the Scholarly Activities Committee and supporting research mentorship and program development. Additionally, I serve as Program Chair for the VMFH Cardiovascular Symposium. I hold a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Columbia University and am board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine.I am principle investigator for multiple Investigator initiated and industry funded research studies, specifically in the arena of cardiomyopathy. I have been voted Top Doctor by my peers in Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met Magazine from 20••••25 consecutively
