ABOUT MARIIA VOROZHKO
I am a student at Reed College in Portland, OR, pursuing a B.A. in Political Science with minors in English and Music. I am passionate about international relations, human rights, gender justice, and US foreign policy, with a special focus on Ukraine. As a born and raised Ukrainian, whose life and studies have been affected by the ongoing war, my goal is to promote Ukraine in the international arena and work in fields that highlight Russia\'s brutal human rights violations there. Through interning and volunteering for Ukraine-focused organizations, advocating for Ukraine on our campus, attending nation-wide conferences covering Eastern Europe, and focusing on Ukraine in my academics, I have developed a robust understanding of the country\'s politics, history, and culture.
