ABOUT MARIE LANGAN
Cranfield Trust is a charity providing pro bono management consultancy to nonprofit organisations across the UK utilising skilled volunteers from the local business community. As Head of Operations, I lead Cranfield Trust’s operations team, to ensure that all client services are delivered effectively, and are well resourced and planned, and always abiding by Cranfield Trust’s core values. As a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of accounting and auditing experience in a variety of management roles in Big Four and Top 20 firms in the UK and US, I also support the Trust\'s financial management and sustainability projects, as well as our webinars, blogs and guidance in this business area. I have recently picked up Power BI and data analytics skills to help measure the Trust\'s impact using our own impact reporting tool. Most recently, my finance specialisms include outsourcing, project management and KPIs, but I also enjoy business development, risk management and corporate governance. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (\"ICAEW\").Industry sectors where I have experience include technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, occupational pensions, property management and charities. My business interests include start-ups and high growth environments. I also have significant experience in processes and procedures, recruitment, mentoring and coaching. I have completed a foundation level EMCC course in mentoring and mentor charity leaders via Cranfield Trust. Outside of work I have served as Treasurer, Vice Chair and Acting Chair for a charity and law centre in Bristol, as an honorary auditor of a PTA, and currently I hold a voluntary position on the ICAEW\'s Volunteering Community Advisory Group which was established to support ICAEW members in volunteering roles. I have the ability to work sensitively with clients and colleagues across borders, sectors, cultures and time zones.
