About Mariela Mejias

I am a well rounded, innovative Geoscientist, with many years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Evolved my career from the rigs as a drilling engineer to become a geoscientist working from exploration to predevelopments, and in development of currently producing assets. I have participated as an explorer in lease sale and prospect maturation. I am also experienced with geostatistics. I have conducted detailed static geomodels focused on deliverables that can be used to understand the range of uncertainty from reservoir. I have worked in several basins, specially in Deep Water Gulf of Mexico, South Atlantic Margins and in Unconventional reservoirs.

   The Harvard Business Analytics Program prepares aspiring and established leaders to use data to drive business strategy. Offered through a collaboration between the Harvard Business School (HBS), the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS), the online program strengthens students’ core management skills and ability to analyze, translate, and incorporate data into strategy at the top levels of their organization. Some of the Core Competencies and Skills include- Leverage data and analytics to drive strategy and innovation across a firm- Use data to clarify ambiguity and take advantage of economic opportunities- Gain competitive advantages in a data-centric world- Use data for predictive decision-making; and - Understand basic programming (R, Python), data architecture, and quantitative analysis.
