About Mariegail Mijares

I am a Planner/Analyst at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), where I support the Housing and Local Planning Team specifically the Regional Housing Technical Assistance program. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Urban Studies and Planning in 2021, and I have a strong interest in city and regional planning, especially in the Bay Area. My past experience and skills involve contract management, project administration, and tracking all of the moving parts in a project. In my current role, I assist with a wide range of organizational tasks related to the Regional Housing Technical Assistance program at MTC. I work with consultants and local cities, manage contracts, and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders within the program. I contribute to the team\'s goals of advancing equitable and sustainable housing solutions for the region, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences from my previous roles as a teaching assistant at Green Art Workshop and a vice president at Skyline Model United Nations. I\'m currently open to work, and if anyone has any leads/job prospects for me, I would be super appreciative. I\'m currently looking for work in planning or public policy. I\'d love to join an organization that I can bring value to through my knowledge and experience.
