About Marie Crawford Miller

Holding an M.S. in interior design and an M.F.A. in design for sustainability, and now working toward an M.A. in counseling and psychology, I exemplify the ultimate lifelong learner. I’m fascinated by any knowledge that helps us function better as individuals, businesses, and society. The definitive role design and the arts play in problem solving, systems analysis, user research, and interpersonal relationships is generally underestimated in American society, and I’m on a mission to change that. More than ever, we need creative thinkers with strong analytical skills to take part in solving issues around everything from business, to climate, to relationships. I co-owned a small business with my former husband for more than 20 years and taught at a small university for 15. I’m adept at workshop facilitation, mentoring, public speaking, presentation and print layouts, writing, teaching, design, and mediation within groups. I’m a people person who’s not overwhelming and an introvert who isn’t afraid to speak up. I marry big city sophistication and small town authenticity. I also own a pair of Fluevog boots designed for the \"Star Trek, Strange New Worlds\" series and whisper “I love you” to any fuzzy critter or flower I encounter on my walks around the neighborhood. Basically, I’m a kind, artistic nerd with people skills.
