ABOUT MARIE JOLICOEUR-BECOTTE

Hi, I\'m Marie (she/her), a 1L JD/BCL Law student at McGill University. I am also a recent graduate of the University of Waterloo with a degree in Honours Health Studies (BSc). Until Graduation- I am learning the key tenets of law at McGill while integrating myself in my class, in the law school community, and in the legal community as a whole- I am broadening my leadership, facilitation, public speaking, public relations, and management skills, and giving back to one of my favourite non-profit organizations - FIRST Robotics Canada - by working as a volunteer in various roles such as MC, Game Announcer, Judge, and Volunteer Coordinator- I am honing in on the key recruitment, executive search, and administrative skills and knowledge I have acquired during my second summer as a Recruitment Associate at the Lock Search Group, and taking them with me as I continue to work with them on a part-time basis during my studies. As part of this position, I am leading new business development and client care practices as I identify 500+ new potential target companies in the Health, Pharmaceuticals, Biotech and Law fields for our consultants, and improve our client engagement- I am focusing on applying the skills and tools I acquired in my undergrad, and how to best transfer them to a new field of study in law school. My Aspirations - I am actively working to keep learning and growing both my interpersonal and technical skills in the sphere of converging law and health domains while discovering new fields of interest in the legal world so I can challenge myself to expand my reach and expertise- I hope to one day take part in and lead meaningful work at the intersection of law and health as a legal professional or as a consultant in the pharmaceuticals sphere.
