About Marie Elena Angulo
I have more than 25 years of experience in London, New York and Miami advising clients in the areas of capital markets, securities, cross-border M&A, and de SPACs, and corporate governance under U.S. law. I have extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in capital raisings, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, rights issues and private placements as well as debt offerings. My recent experience includes representing Falcon\'s Beyond Global in its SPAC business combination with FAST Acquisitions II, CM Life Sciences in its de SPAC business combination with EQRx and Helix Acquisition Corp in its SPAC business combination with MoonLake Immunotherapeutics. My pro bono experience at Jones Day included representing asylum seekers as part of Jones Day\'s Laredo Project and being part of the firm\'s Anti-Trafficking Initiative. At White & Case, I have been involved in the firm\'s pro bono initiatives with the Cyrus Vance Center for International Justice and Cornell Law School\'s Women & Justice Collection. I am a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. I am the Chair of Oolite Arts\' board, Miami’s leading support organization for the visual arts. I am a patron of several art organizations in London and Miami. Yale Law School (J.D,1994), Yale University (M.A. 1989 and M.Phil. 1991) and Princeton University (A.B, 1986, Cum Laude). I was raised in Puerto Rico and am a native Spanish speaker.
