ABOUT MARIE-CLAUDE BOISVERT
Marie-Claude is Senior Counsel and Deputy Director at the Trade Law Bureau, where she has practiced international trade and public international law since 2009. She has represented Canada in both NAFTA and WTO litigation and the negotiation of international trade and investment agreements. Marie-Claude has also advised the government on matters of extradition law through an assignment at the International Assistance Group. During 2014 and 2015, she held positions with the International Criminal Court in the Hague and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Tanzania. Marie-Claude was the President and CEO of the Canadian Council on International Law from 2016 to 2019.
