ABOUT MARIE-CLAUDE ALARIE

Born in Trois-Rivieres, Marie-Claude earned her nursing diploma in 1994, practiced in the emergency room and as a research nurse. A career change to life insurance saw her as an underwriter from 2002 to 2006 at Industrial Alliance, after having spent a short time doing paramedical exams and then after 2 years as a claim specialist she went back to underwriting in 2008 with Manulife, than later with SSQ, to work remotely from Quebec city. She has been at Swiss Re since April 2016, and is now Lead L&H Underwriting Learning & Talent Development. Besides underwriting, she has been a musician since childhood and plays the flute, sings and has even tried the tuba. Rachmaninov holds an important place in her life. She is a proud skate and hockey mom who enjoys 2 arenas in lieu of her cottage, and is the president of her daughter’s skating club. She also holds a diploma form a college for radio and TV presenters. Nee a Trois-Rivieres, Marie-Claude a obtenu son diplôme en soins infirmiers en 1994, a pratiqué en salle d\'urgence et comme infirmière de recherche. Un changement de carrière l\'a amenée vers la tarification de 2002 a 2006, chez Industrielle Alliance, après avoir passé une courte période à faire des examens paramédicaux. Après 2 ans passés comme analyste senior en règlements, elle est retournée en tarification pour Manuvie, puis SSQ. Elle est chez Swiss Re depuis avril 2016, et maintenant à la tête de la formation et du développement des talents. En plus de la tarification, elle est une musicienne depuis sa tendre enfance. Elle joue de la flûte traversière, chante et a même essayé le tuba et les percussions. Rachmaminov détient une place très importante dans sa vie. Elle détient un diplôme du Collège des Annonceurs Radio Télévision de Quebec. Elle est aussi fière maman d\'un hockeyeur et d\'une patineuse, passant ses temps libres dans 2 arénas au lieu de son chalet et est présidente du club de patinage artistique de sa fille.
