ABOUT MARIE CUDENNEC CARLISLE

I am the CEO & Co-Founder of Goldfinger, a design-led social enterprise and BCorp crafting sustainable and high-quality furniture for individuals and businesses. I am a social entrepreneur with a marketing and operations background, who left a career in the luxury goods industry to pursue a path with more purpose, having previously worked for LVMH, Richemont and Estée Lauder. As an alumna of Harvard Business School\'s Strategic Perspectives in Non Profit Management and Oxford University\'s Saïd Business School\'s 10KSB Programme, I am passionate about helping businesses achieve growth and transform their business models and practices to create positive impact on people and planet. In 2013, I co-founded Goldfinger, which designs and makes high-end furniture from sustainable and reclaimed materials. Additionally, we created an internal social impact programme called the Goldfinger Academy to increase young people\'s confidence & opportunities through teaching woodworking, community engagement and mentoring. This includes traineeships, work experience, career guidance and community events so that more young people are on pathways to employment and are supported by their community. People\'s Kitchen: Tackles food waste, food poverty and social isolation with free monthly community meals for low-income residents, building connection and providing nourishment.Goldfinger aims to fill a gap in the market for a design-led solution to reusing materials whilst providing unparalleled levels of social impact. Having trained over 200 individuals and diverted over 400 tonnes of material from landfill to date, Goldfinger has gained a unique positioning in the UK furniture market and gained momentum with clients like Tate Modern, Heatherwick Studio, Tom Dixon, GAIL\'s Artisan Bakery and Hermès as key partners in their growth strategy.
