For five years, Marie owned and operated her own franchise. Prior to owning a franchise, she was a partner in a marketing/sales consultant firm, as well as a Director of Marketing for a consumer products company for 15 years. In addition, she has travelled extensively overseas developing a number of strategic manufacturing and marketing alliances.Marie is a sought-after speaker for Medicare insurance planning and special needs planning. She has written articles on the topic of individuals with special needs children. Her article, “A Historic Day: The Celebration of Downs Syndrome,” was published in New York Parent Magazine in 2012.She is an active member of organizations such as “Camp Northstar,” (Board of Directors), “Toys of Hope” (also on the Advisory Board), SCWBEC (Membership Director.) She was an officer on the Board of Directors for The Long Island Way. Marie has been a dedicated volunteer, devoting her free time to community service/volunteerism. She was the recipient of the “2010 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year,” awarded by The Long Island Way.In 2013, Marie founded Changing Hands, an approved 501 © 3 non-profit organizations, which provides volunteer opportunities to individuals with special needs.
