I have been an educator of students with special needs for the majority of my career. I have taught most of my career at the middle level. Most recently I have been an Educator Evaluation Specialist in the district with 5 other urban and urban ring communities utilizing funds from AFT and the DOE. I have spoken nationally on topics such as supporting Special Needs Students, SLO\'s, Educator Evaluation. Universal Design for Learning. I have been elected as the President of the Providence Teachers Union biennially,over the past 8 years. I have previously served as Vice President at large, and as VP of Special Populations and Middle Schools as well as delegate at my building. Serving the students, families and teachers of Providence is a role I take very seriously. I am committed to improving our schools in a collaborative, thoughtful, and inclusive process where all voices are heard. We must create the schools our students deserve.
