ABOUT MARIAPIA FIGURA
I am a mechanical engineer with a specialization in powertrain. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a strong passion for vehicle performance, energy efficiency, and the sustainability of propulsion systems.During my studies, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the German company FEV on a research project focused on the study of ammonia combustion and efficiency in a dual fuel ammonia–diesel engine. This experience allowed me to acquire in-depth practical skills in engine test bench work and vehicle calibration, combining theoretical knowledge with high-level experimental activities.I am particularly interested in the field of advanced propulsion, with a focus on sustainable technologies, alternative fuels, and the electrification of powertrain systems.I consider myself a curious, determined, and continuously learning individual, open to new challenges that allow me to contribute concretely to the advancement of the automotive sector and the transition toward more sustainable mobility.
