Screened hundreds of ventures across Europe and Asia for CDL cohort pipeline, qualifying leads for venture manager review and invitation decisions- Evaluated ventures and entrepreneurs for a team-formation program, contributing to final cohort selection across two competitive streams- Designed and built an end-to-end matchmaking system from scratch — three proprietary models covering founder profile gap analysis, compatibility scoring for speed-dating pairings, and preference-based allocation for final mentor-founder matches. All models independently designed and built in Excel VBA and Airtable.

ABOUT MARIANA MELGES
I spent 15 years building credit strategies and growth operations for over a million SME clients at Itaú Unibanco - Latin America\'s largest bank. Brazil\'s credit market is arguably the most complex in the world: high interest rates, sophisticated risk modelling, and a customer base where financial inclusion and credit access are existential, not aspirational. That experience translates directly into European fintech, especially now, when macro uncertainty is putting pressure on lending models, SME resilience, and operational efficiency across the continent. What I do: I take complex problems - operational, analytical, or strategic - and turn them into executable solutions. I\'ve designed high-impact revenue campaigns, built predictive models at scale, and most recently screened hundreds of ventures across Europe and Asia at the Creative Destruction Lab at ESMT Berlin. I\'m drawn to fintech because I want to keep making finance more accessible - for the small business owner who needs a credit line to hire their first employee, or the entrepreneur who just needs a trusted tool to get paid.
